Browse all J-League clubs and their rosters at a glance.
Key takeaways
- Covers all 60 J1/J2/J3 clubs and their 2024 season squads, so a player's numbers can be read against the system that produced them.
- Club-level context matters because performance is produced within a system — that system is often a better predictor of whether a number will travel than the raw number itself.
- Use this page to compare squad age profiles across divisions, or to see which club shaped a specific player's numbers before judging the player alone.

Why club-level context matters
A player's numbers are produced inside a system, and the system is often the better predictor of whether those numbers travel.
This page indexes all sixty J.League clubs across J1, J2 and J3 with their 2024 squads. It exists because the question a recruitment department actually asks is rarely "who scored the most" — it is closer to "which clubs produce players who succeed abroad, and what do those environments have in common." Shonan Bellmare has exported forwards to England and Germany. Sanfrecce Hiroshima has repeatedly functioned as the final domestic step before a European move. Those patterns are visible at club level and invisible at player level.
How to use this page
Three approaches are worth the time.
Read a squad by age profile. A club whose minutes are concentrated in players under twenty-three is either developing deliberately or rebuilding under financial pressure, and both conditions change what a bid is likely to cost.
Read across divisions. J2 and J3 rosters are where the systematic mispricing sits, because those competitions are scouted far less closely than J1 while still producing players who hold up a level above.
Read a club before you read its player. A forward's conversion rate means one thing in a high-volume attacking side and something quite different in a team that generates ten shots a match.
Data vintage and limits
Squad and player figures on this page come from the 2024 J.League season via API-Football, league matches only. Cup and AFC competition are excluded, and transfers completed after that season are not reflected. Squad sizes shown are as recorded at collection, so a roster listed here may differ from the club's current registration.
We do not publish team-level tactical metrics — pressing intensity, build-up structure, chance quality — because we do not hold event data licensed for redistribution. Where advanced J-League metrics appear in our written reports, they are sourced from Football LAB and attributed there.
Far Post Analytics is an independent publication. We are not affiliated with the J.League, with any club listed on this page, or with any agency, and we do not represent players.
Frequently asked questions
Does this include cup competitions?
No. Only league matches are counted; cup fixtures (Emperor's Cup, J.League Cup) are excluded from these totals.
Why look at a team page instead of just a player page?
A player's per-90 numbers are shaped by their club's system, tempo, and role — the same output can mean different things at a possession-heavy club versus a counter-attacking one.

Caveats and limitations
- Squad lists reflect the 2024 season roster and may not match a club's current matchday squad.
- League-only results; cup form is not factored into club-level figures shown here.
- Club identity (style, coaching change mid-season) can shift a team's numbers within the same season — treat a season total as an average, not a constant.
Sources and disclosure
- Team and squad data for the 2024 J.League season (J1/J2/J3) is sourced from API-Football and includes league matches only. Cup competitions are excluded.
