Shumpei Fukahori (深堀隼平) joined Vitória Guimarães (Primeira Liga, Portugal) on loan from Nagoya Grampus on 2019-01-24, at age 20. He is the first J2-origin case and the first Portugal case in our dataset — every other J-League entry we had logged before this one started from J1.
The loan ran only to 2019-07-31 and was not converted into a permanent deal. His career after returning to Japan moved down through the tiers — Mito Hollyhock, FC Gifu, Thespa Gunma, Ehime FC, and Iwate Grulla Morioka — a steady decline rather than a return to his original club's level. - This is a completed case with a confirmed loan end date; there is nothing forthcoming to track further.
